We are excited to announce that Mrs. Epley Hamilton will be joining our faculty as a Business teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Mrs. Hamilton graduated from UNL with a Business Administration degree and followed her passion for education by later earning her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UNO. She has been teaching and coaching at Bellevue West High School for the past few years and brings a wealth of knowledge in both business and computer science courses with her to Gothenburg. A career in Diesel Mechanics awaits Emma Howerton as she signed with NMC Caterpillar on Feb. 22. As a student under the NMC banner, her scholarship includes instruction in Milford, NE in the Diesel Tech program, a tool allowance and employment upon graduation. Congratulations to Emma on this tremendous achievement. She is a student with a passion for her career field and we are excited to see where it takes her!

With a wealth of experience nurturing our youngest learners, including extensive time as a private preschool provider and then as a kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Wyatt brings a valuable skill set to our community. Her dedication and expertise will enrich the lives of our students who are eligible for Special Education services while also providing invaluable support to families across our district.

We are excited to announce that Mrs. Kristin Hastings will be serving in the role of 7th - 9th Grade Special Education teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Mrs. Hastings graciously served in the role of School Librarian while Mrs. Long took over an English position for the 2nd semester. Mrs. Long plans to return to the library next school year. Mrs. Hastings' passion for Special Education has been a driving force in her career journey, as evidenced by her ongoing pursuit of a Special Education endorsement. With her dedication and enthusiasm, transitioning into this new role is a wonderful opportunity for our students. Please help us in congratulating Mrs. Hastings!

Gothenburg Public Schools has scheduled our Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-2025 school year for Tuesday, March 12th @ 5:30 in the Performing Arts Center. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to contact Mrs. Gundell or Mrs. Floyd at Dudley Elementary to have their child's name added to our registration list. Additional information will be shared with parents/guardians closer to the Kindergarten Registration meeting. We look forward to getting our new little Swedes registered for Kindergarten!
